The Role:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the centre, ensuring that our facilities, equipment, and technical systems are safe, well maintained, and operating efficiently.
You will combine your technical expertise with team leadership, preventive and corrective maintenance planning, Health & Safety, and close collaboration with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance
Perform hands-on maintenance duties as part of the department's rotation, while also overseeing the work and development of the Maintenance team.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out according to company procedures and local regulations.
Monitor the correct operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and water treatment systems.
Technical Operations Assistance
Identify necessary repairs, improvements, and investments and communicate them to management.
Monitor pool conditions, temperature, filtration, cleaning, and disinfection standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Manage maintenance stock and supplies, following company procedures to avoid shortages.
Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors when required.
People Management
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop the Maintenance team.
Provide regular feedback and support team performance and development.
Plan and supervise daily work, shifts, absences, holidays, and schedule changes.
Participate in daily operational briefings, highlighting any maintenance issues that may affect the centre's operations.
Safety, Health, and Regulations
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety principles, company standards, and local regulations.
Maintain the required maintenance, safety, and compliance documentation up to date.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficient and sustainable use of resources.
Report relevant incidents, improvements, and maintenance matters to management.
Who You Are:
Minimum 2 year of exposure to team management and coordination activities. Required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical maintenance, within spa facilities or similar environments. Required.
Extensive electricity operations knowledge is Required.
Experience with facility-wide operations (maintenance, HVAC, water treatment, etc.).
Previous experience in pool and water treatment maintenance is highly valued. A Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification is a plus.
You are hands-on and lead by example, willing to support the team with technical tasks when needed.
You are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems with urgency and accuracy.
You are comfortable multitasking, analysing situations, and making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and maintenance management systems.
You are flexible and able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays when required.
You are fluent in English.
